British PM Theresa May to raise trade,security with Turkey’s President Erdogan.

Prime Minister Theresa May will meet Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan today to discuss regarding the trade and security.

According to her spokeswoman, part of a charm offensive to bolster her hand in negotiations to leave European Union. After meeting Trump and winning his approval and some assurances on economic cooperation, May heads to Ankara to launch a joint working group to prepare the ground for a new trade relationship after Brexit.


Her spokeswoman said that the PM May and the President Erdogan will be discussing a new trade relationship following the UK’s exit from the EU, and they are expected to agree to a strategic security partnership.


As per her words Turkey would be the 13th country to setup a working group on trade with Britain.The UK was 2nd largest destination for Turkish exports in 2015, buying $10.6 billion in goods, according to IMT trade data. Only Germany imports for Turkey.
